Ezra O The movie had to much graphic elements the characters were generic and overall I just did not like the experience a lot I could see others liking it but its just not in my taste. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/13/23 Full Review brian t Cult cheese. Enjoyable for what it is. Pretentious, snotty or uptight types don't bother watching Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review white b the low rating of this masterpiece is CRIMINAL. Roddy Piper was an American Treasure, and in this movie he is perfection. what manner of reptile would rate this low? shame on you all! RODDY PIPER RULES!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Kinda surprised I didn't hear about this until now. If you like post-apocalyptic action then... ohhhh noooo... what the... I don't know if it'd come to this but anything's possible once your're the last man on Earth. Still, kinda ridiculous... and then the frog people show up and things get interesting. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw this because Octuber and I have to say that I found this profoundly boring. At moments it feels like a porn movie with more budget than usual, it lacks fun. The movie at times within it's silly universe take itself too seriously, and when there are attempts at comedy they simply don't land. A male fantasy movie that would not sit well during these times. It's never to bad that is good, it's very joyless. Watching a frog biped get horny should be fun not cringe inducing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member You have to commend the makers of Hell Comes to Frogtown for the world-building they accomplished in this movie. The plot easily reads as a perverted male fantasy, but there is logic to it based on the world they created. The whole story is utterly ridiculous, and it still creeped me out a little, yet I kind of appreciated that they found a way to tell a legitimate story that allows all the creepiness to make sense. I also can respect when a movie like this knows what it is, and doesn’t pretend to be some brilliant work of cinema. Tongues were firmly planted in cheeks throughout the movie, and you can tell they are having fun with it. Seemingly every other line was loaded with innuendo, and that totally made sense based on the story being told. I may not be the type who laughs all that much at sly sexual references, but I caught every single one. Roddy Piper is in the lead role and you can tell he’s having a blast. He totally understands the intended tone of the movie. But I have to say, it’s hard to take anything in this movie seriously because it is so goofy. The villains are not intimidating and made me laugh repeatedly because of the silly costumes. My biggest problem with the film is that there is a lot in Hell Comes to Frogtown that I found dumb, and hard to watch. There are multiple times where I was cringing because of the stuff they made Sandahl Bergman do, including more than one uncomfortable dance scene. Also, even though it makes sense for the plot, I couldn’t help feeling annoyed at the way every woman threw herself at Roddy Piper. I totally can see Hell Comes to Frogtown being a movie that many people enjoy, because it’s definitely light-hearted and fun, but it’s not exactly my kind of fun.
