Expends so much time and effort in trying to become the next big cult sensation that it never gets around to simply being a good movie. Go to Full Review

It seems like a charming throwback to 1980s films, like "Ghostbusters" and "Police Academy," that featured motley, sloppy brigades of justice.3 Go to Full Review

Hellbenders mostly feels like a doodle, an amiable lark that will amuse genrephiles and anyone else with their sights set appropriately low. Go to Full Review

At a mere 85 minutes, the film feels stretched beyond belief, and if there are any genuine prayers to be had for the film, it's for the end that never comes soon enough. Go to Full Review

11/01/2019 Once you figure out it's horror comedy, it is pretty darned good! I enjoyed it! See more 06/15/2018 This movie is hilarious! This isn't for people who get butt hurt really easy over religion. You will find yourself quoting Clancy Brown's character. It is a very dark horror film about Priests who sin in order to send Demons and Devils back to hell. The fight between the priests when there boss is replaced by the arch diocese is golden. If you can find this on DVD, buy it- it's probably in the $5 bin but it's worth the nights of sitting down with your beer drinking buddies and laughing your asses off. See more 01/20/2017 good movie. great actors See more 08/19/2016 The plot had everything it needed to be a cult classic, but the writing drags the film into a direction that will leave viewers bored and wanting way more. While i agree Clifton carries the film, any fan of Clancy Brown will be delighted by his vulgar one liners. Sadly, that's the best part of this film. The first half is entertaining but the direction taken pretty much guarantees we'll never see a sequel. See more 05/02/2016 Fun and blasphemous horror comedy, though it sort of doesn't quite live up to its potential in the third act. I enjoyed the first half far more then the second. Overall, though, still fun - especially if you enjoy crude and blasphemous humor. See more 04/11/2016 an enjoyable movie that could of been great. the writing felt like a teen with some of the language thrown about, but it was more entertaining then I expected. a bit more fine tuning of the characters and humor would of made this movie. over all though, worth a check if you're into demons and exorcism since this does a different spin to it all.
