After escaping from prison, the evil Dr. Niemann (Boris Karloff) and his hunchbacked assistant, Daniel (J. Carrol Naish), plot their revenge against those who imprisoned them. For this, they recruit the powerful Wolf Man (Lon Chaney), Frankenstein's monster (Glenn Strange) and even Dracula himself (John Carradine). Niemann pursues those who wrong him, sending each monster out to do his dirty work. But his control on the monsters is weak at best and may prove to be his downfall.

It is an awful movie but valuable because it is the Avengers of Horror Movies. Dracula, Frankenstein, Werewolf, and Hunchback in the same movie. The first movie to bring them all in one place.

Dracula is totally wasted, but this is a decently fun mash of monsters. The convoluted plot is a bit much, but being able to see all these characters collected is a pretty good time.

It was entertaining, nowhere as good as The first three or Frankenstien v The Worlfman, or even The Wolfman for that matter. But its got its moments. Dracula is wasted and is probably the worst portrayal. Just showhorned in to try and attract viewers. The first part is quite good, Karlof is great as ever as is Chaney Jnr as Larry Talbot/The Wolfman. Gets lost in the middle but the end is better although it ends very quickly...literely. But It was an enjoyable Sunday morning view.

Calling all monsters! Universal trots most of them out for this sequel to "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man." And, the results were slightly better than the 1943 effort. Boris Karloff plays a mad scientist bent on revenge.
