Mauricio R Basado en la novela homónima del autor Juan Pablo Villalobos bajo una formidable dirección de Fernando Frías como ya nos tenía acostumbrados con Ya no estoy aquí (2019) pero en esta ocasión decide relatar una obra metaficcional con un fuerte comentario sobre el humor, la desigualdad social y como algunas veces terminamos siendo víctimas de las circunstancias. "Si hasta ahora no había podido escribir una novela era porque nunca me había pasado nada que valiera la pena contar" podría resumir a grandes rasgos la cinta; si bien la cinta no es perfecta ya que existen varios factores como algunos excesos que decide tomar su director y sobretodo la poca o nula química entre sus dos protagonistas relacionado a la cuestionable elección de su protagonista que no logra alcanzar las notas de sus colegas. Sin embargo las interpretaciones de los personajes secundarios logran compensar esa carencia brindando una gran cantidad de momentos tensos y con una variedad de personajes con muchos matices. Alexis Ayala se roba los momentos en los que habla o aparece en pantalla y Natalia Solián entrega una interesante interpretación que logra ser relacionable que recuerda mucho al personaje Juan Daniel García Treviño que curiosamente tiene una breve participación en el film. Para concluir podemos decir que esta cinta empieza siendo interesante pero la trama se va diluyendo de tal manera que uno como espectador dice "perate, de qué se trata?" y la respuesta es agridulce con un final que se siente acorreteado; de igual manera es interesante como cineastas mexicanos buscan formas de contar historias que logren atraer a la audiencia nacional e internacional.
