Boll’s cheaply rejected vision for "Lord of the Rings" without an ounce of distinction for the creatively dissolved source material from frivolous performances – though rare few evoked chuckles adjacent to being laughably bad – and childish sequences unceremoniously presented. (C-) See more Hughe J @Hughe Oct 3 In The Name of The King was released in 2008 and is a discount Dungeons and Dragons type film directed by the infamous Uwe Boll and starring Jason Statham playing Jason Statham, Ray Liotta as the bad guy, and Burt Reynolds playing Burt Reynolds. This is as straightforward a plot as it gets: Jason Statham's son is killed and he wants revenge against the Krugs (discount Orcs) and their leader Ray. So he ventures out in his quest and lots of terrible CGI battles happen, we hear some terrible dialogue, and Burt Reynolds phones in a few scenes for old times sake. Dungeon Siege is so bad it's almost, almost, good. Honestly there's no redeeming quality here as even the jokes don't land and this goes on for over two hours. This, this was just awful. This is one of the worst movies ever made with the caliber of talented actors in it. Watching this will make you realize how well Lord of the Rings was made. It’s almost unwatchable.
