Audience Member Corny, cheesy and well.. some laughs though not that they were intended.. and the laws of moviemaking were not obayed.. entertaining at least Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Exorcist meets Jaws with dismal results. still, you would be a fool to watch this kinda thing with anything but the lowest results. The charming Sheriff steals the show, which really isn't that hard to do all things considered. the pre CGI snake should have won an Oscar at the very least. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Well that was quite the different take on the killer animal genre. I enjoyed it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member The whole film competently rips offs Jaws in cheesy b movie tradition but the ending is really weak. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member If you crossed "End of Days" with "Snakes on a Plane" and filmed it in the 1970s, you'd get "Jaws of Satan." Fritz Weaver plays a small-town priest who's ancestors killed off a druid cult. Those druids cursed his family and the devil, in the form of a king cobra, returns to the small town off of a circus train to exact his revenge. That revenge comes by way of the demonic snake controlling all of the other local snakes, who then attack the small parish community members. And all this is happening just as a new local dog racing track is about to open! As you may have surmised, this film is ridiculous. It's part nature-gone-wild and part Satanic-panic, but overall, it's just a terrible film, although the film is just bad enough that it can be enjoyed on an ironic so-bad-it's-good level. Gretchen Corbett of "The Rockford Files" and Norman Lloyd were the only actors I recognized. I didn't realize it until I looked at IMDB, but his film also featured a 7-year-old Christina Applegate in her film debut. Only watch this film if you're a die hard Applegate fan or if you're in the mood for cheesy Satanic snake attacks. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Not that bad of a premise, but it's handled dully and a bit over-serious. The editing is alright at times, and the snake shots and puppets are pretty good. The characters just aren't interesting enough to follow along, and the film takes a rather dull turn towards the end.
