Ricardo De Querol El Pais (Spain) The film shows the enormous prominence that young guitarist Mick Taylor achieved during this period; he was only with them for five years, but those years were the best for the band. [Full review in Spanish] Oct 30, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Anyone who doubts Mick Taylor's absolute brilliance and contribution to establishing the Rolling Stones as the best rock and roll band in the world should watch this movie. Maybe Mick and Keith should watch it too as a reminder. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty great, straight up rock concert from The Rolling Stones in 1972, arguably at the top of their powers. 15 songs, no frills and all excellent! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member The Stones at their peak. Great stuff. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member For a little while The Stones were done copying other artists and hadn't started to suck yet. For few albums they were the best. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Good concert film, showing the Stones on the North American leg of their Exile on Main Street tour in 1972. Captures well the energy and tightness of the band, and some of the best rock music ever made. Sound quality is brilliant, especially for a 1972 live recording. On the negative side, the camera work and editing leave a lot to be desired. Mick Jagger features in about 80% of the close-ups, and Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman get almost no coverage. Mick Taylor will be ripping into a great guitar solo, and the camera will be on Jagger! Overall, a great movie and an excellent reminder of the zenith of rock n' roll. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a classic like the Maysles' "Gimme Shelter," this one is 'just' a concert film edited from two different performances. But for my money, this was the Stones' best tour. It was their best line-up, touring behind their greatest album ("Exile on Main Street") with everyone playing at their peak.
