David Z THe movie did have some good parts, mainly the scenery. The acting for the most part was not a stellar performance, Visually most of the characters were believable, except for the transvestite Roman general. Bai lings acting was good. But an asian being in this part of the world at that time is not believable either. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/12/23 Full Review Hannah S He runs, he falls. His friends get killed, Mickey Rourke in an eye patch, lip filler and french tips is gleefully talking to a bust of Nero, bragging about not sending help. Like a sad knock off of Marlon Brando in Apocolypse Now. And he runs and falls. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/23 Full Review Chase H This movie was laughably bad. Mickey Rourke phoned in his performance. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/08/22 Full Review Kristina O It's a guy running the whole time. Just terrible. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/08/22 Full Review Audience Member If you want to watch a guy climb a rock wall and stumble through the desert interspersed with watching another guy talk to a statue then this movie is for you Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member i hate professional critics, most have which rate their movies like they are stuck between "TECHNICAL ALLEY' and BACK IN THE GOLDEN DAYS OF CINEMA". Granted at first and 2nd glance Mickey Rourke reading lines from this movie would seem like asking Rocky Balboa to read Shakespeare. However Rourke's punch drunk boxer looks and voice lend to a man who is torn between duty to the Legion and his emperor Nero. Yes, the runner runs alot, a monument to his task, encounters enemy and friend alike only to be told his run might have been for nothing. Bai Ling has a small part, but then i have been in love with Bai ling since the first time i saw her in THE CROW in 1994 Is it an outstanding movie, NO. Is it a great movie, too some. But i think it is a credible piece of work and deserves to be seen and judged by others of a more "UNINFORMED" audience. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter We are not entertained. May 7, 2020 Full Review John Serba Decider I cannot recommend The Legion in good conscience, unless you have a cross-country fetish. Aug 25, 2020 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Between the anachronistic dialogue, the lack of action or suspense, and a few random scenes with Mickey Rourke sporting an eye patch and talking to a Nero statue, it's a tedious mess. May 29, 2020 Full Review Tara McNamara Common Sense Media Bizarrely bad epic hides violence, some language. Rated: 1/5 May 15, 2020 Full Review Cynthia Vinney CBR The Legion almost reaches so bad it's good status. Unfortunately, all the scenes featuring Noreno running tip the scales, making the film more boring than inadvertently funny. May 7, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
