Gone With The Twins

Despite the regular violence, the scaly creature costumes (which are rather comical when revealed in broad daylight), the mad scientist, and the otherworldly voodoo, the film isn’t creative enough to hold much interest.

The shift in insert footage between the different cuts can be a bit jarring, if you're looking for it. But otherwise it's a pretty fun, schlocky Gilman throwback. Fishmen forever!

Could tell right from the opening credits this one would be good. Shipwrecked doctor washes up on island run by man who has discovered the lost underwater city of Atlantis and uses a renowned biologist who turned island inhabitants into aquatic creatures to retrieve the city's treasure for him. Fascinating tale. One had to feel for Jose, who was killed in the midst of making the transformation into a marine servant.

A crazed scientist transforms shipwrecked prisoners into subhuman sea creatures in the hopes of using them to retrieve the lost underwater treasure of the City of Atlantis. Effective (and a bit outlandish) Italian thriller with an additional opening scene added for the US video release featuring none other than Cameron Mitchell!
