bill t I enjoyed this one, though it's patriotic heart on the sleeve (or blouse!) got a little heavy handed in parts. Mary Pickford has two suitors, a frenchman and a German. She can't make up her mind.. But then the war starts, conveniently putting the two on opposite sides! Mary comes over to France for an unrelated matter, but is soon on the frontline. She announces that she's gonna nurse the wounded come hell or high water! And so on. The two suitors do catch up with her of course, and la de da. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A thrilling story of espionage, war and love. A young Franco-American woman goes to her ancestral home in France, for the chance to run into her German-American fiance, who has been shipped off to fight The Great War in France. Through bravery and wits, the two survive to eventually be shipped back to America to live and love the rest of their lives in peace. Again, Mary Pickford is extremely watchable.
