Anonymous N It had some alright things in it (like props, music, etc.) But it was nothing like the books! All the characters look at least three years older than they're supposed to be and they look nothing like they're described in the books (especially iggy and fang). The way the characters act does not match their personalities from the books either. The movie also barely clings to the original plot of the story. It's an alright way to pass time but it is NOT for fans of the books. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/31/23 Full Review soft b i wish i could say better. It was horrendus. Didnt match character diseigns, And BARELY followed actual story. 1. I know this is a lil petty but it did not start off like that 2. Fang/iggy dont look like that. 3. MAX DIDNT ACT SELFISH?? 4.Max only acts a LITTLE selfish in 3 or 4. 5. thats not how anything goes down in books 6. The wings dont do that 7. CGI is goofy 8.Nudge dosent act selfish like that. 9. it dosent even cover much 10. The 90 minutes is barely when they escape ne school with angel and then boom cliffhanger for a movie there will never be a sequel to. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/13/23 Full Review Glenn H As others aptly noted, another very derivative project, done far better in the realms of Hunger Games & X-Men Mutant style films. Some decent talent is visible in lead actresses Wray, Evans & Huang, leaving the others in lower caliber performances. The story leaves much to be desired, leaving this as basically not worth viewing💩 Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I just wanna express that while watching this movie I was utterly disappointed due to the fact that this series had so much potential and it did not receive the proper amount of passion it deserved. I read the entire book series in two weeks and I will stand by my decision of saying it is my favourite series that I have ever read. I believe that if this series would have waited to be turned into a movie series, or even a tv series it would have been amazing, they definitely jumped the gun on this series. I am greatly saddened by the fact that I won't be able to watch this series grow on screen with the passion and dedication it deserves. The only reason I give this a movie two and a half stars is because I love the books so much. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This horrible abomination of a movie was absolutely atrocious. I actually cannot describe how bad everything was, from the trash special effects to the awful characters. It physically pained me to watch the movie. They completely ruined Fang, making him the epitome of a straight white boy whose personality was almost as bland Max's barely existing one. Everyone was garbage, not even close to matching their quirky and unique personalities in the books. They should have just donated the 20 millions dollars they used to make this movie to charity, because this movie was painfully terrible and creating it was a complete mistake. If I could rate this negative stars, I would. But you should read the books. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member If you watched the books, you will hate this movie. Their casting for iggy looks nothing like how he was described, they mess up cool details like how their wings are wrapped around their bodies, which are actually shaped nothing like a human body. If you havent read the books, it's pretty good as far as action goes, although im not not sure youd really unserstand a whole lot of what's going on as a lot of description of what the school is and it's purpose is just entorely missing from the movie. And their abilities arent displayed very well either. Just lots of issues that made this movie cringe to watch. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
