Gary P Lousy I gave one star because there was no zero star to select m, some of the poorest actors and acting I have ever seen. The "special effects" weren't special, they were more like cartoons. So stupid and ridiculous. The actors ( they weren't actors but I didn't know what else to call them)' they need to go back to their fast food jobs flipping hamburgers. Megalodon is more like a bad 4th grade school play where everyone gets a part, than an actual movie. No Acadamy Awards here but everyone is likely to be nominated for a Razzie, especially Wynter Eddins, she and O'Shea Neal are definitely two of the worst (I refuse to refer to them as actors) I have ever seen, Avoid Megalodon Rising at all costs. Writing and acting are terrible, the directing is worse, and the effects are definitely special. It isn't even so bad it's good, there are so many problems like people firing guns up in the air when attempting to shoot something in the sea, or the Captain ordering everyone to battle stations when they're already at battle stations. Most ridiculous thing however was a Chinese naval officer being allowed freedom to roam around a US warship and suddenly finding a Kalashnikov (and ammo) to shoot at the failed preschool art project assaulting the stern. The best thing this film can be used for is as evidence for the prosecution of the production company, for crimes against humanity. The biggest CGI shark ever couldn't save this from itself, even though they were barely in this. Too much face time and too many lines for the annoyingly bad captain and the sonar person who had a stupid look on her face most of the time. This is awful.
