To mi je vise kao neki ocajan non canon film) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Who will hate this movie? Well, first of all, foreigners who are not familiar with the original Mi Nismo Andjeli, and therefore the culture that radiates all over EX-YU territory. I didn’t count haters and critics who don’t have anything nice to say, not only about this, but on any other movie they write about, because they live in their own weird world and there is no need to spend energy on them. There for I’ll never start review with ‘’I can’t believe that someone doesn’t like…'', ‘cause some hater probably doesn’t. The target group that Srdjan Dragojevic dedicated MNA2 is not small, because, regardless to his intention to primarily make this movie for fans of the first part (which is normal to expect from each sequel), he also tried to accommodate movie for all those who didn’t watch the first one, but they are fans of local (Serbian) cinematography and familiar with public life of Balkans (Belgrade, in this case). An example would be a number of vulgar curses that are represented throughout the film, and which we (locals) are used to hear, but which could also in eyes of someone not familiar with things above, look very absurd. If you went to cinema expecting to see a candidate for the Golden Globe, the Palme d'or, or Oscars, you will be ultimately disappointed, and yes – you will hate this movie. I’m, not saying that the acting, directing, special effects and other things, are bad. On the contrary! A great cast that celebrated the first part is also here in almost identical lineup: Nikola Kojo, Milena Pavlovic, Zoran Cvijanovic, Srdjan Todorovic, Uros Djuric, Vesna Tirivalic, Miki Manojlovic ( Branka Katic is only one missing). All of them done a brilliant job ( except Milena Pavlovic, who just wasn’t on the level this time, but it’s totally irrelevant because it does not spoil pleasure of watching). In order to break the monotony, Dragojevic refreshed the cast with young Mirka Vasiljevic, who showed us that she can successfully lead a major role in the film, alongside Nikola and others. Haters will say that the plot of the movie is nothing more than a cliche, something already seen, not original, stolen from other movies, etc. ... SPOILER! From my point of view, Dragojevic very intelligent adapted new movie plot to a different time (don’t forget that 15 years have passed since the original), where Nikola, womanizer without no limits and a newbie father, faces with (something what are probably facing a ‘’teenage – fans of original'' who have by now established families) the fact that his daughter is all grown up, that she’s teenager now and it's just a matter of time when will ‘’someone fuck her'' (quote:,,jednog dana ce i tebe neko da kara’’). This nightmare will finally persuade Nikola to accept his role of the father, which he 15 years successfully avoided, and make him eliminate all ‘’sexual predators'' who want to take advantage of his Sofia, using his BIG experience (and in some case - baseball bat) as main weapon. All this fits in an hour and a half of ultimate fun, which is polished with slightly higher budget than original had, full with hilarious, and typical for the Balkans, vulgar jokes and situations, which reflect the current cultural and night life of Serbia and some of them are very similar to jokes from the MNA, mainly because of the spectators who didn’t watch MNA (if there are any such:P). I watched MNA2 in order to see something that will be similar to the first part and, at the same time, be completely different from it, something that will amuse me all the way to the end of the movie, and which will, mostly with its original pranks, keep my impression long after the end. I did not expect anything more, and I did not get anything less, because WANA2 completely fulfilled my expectations. Hollywood directors could learn something from their fellow Europeans, first of all ‘’how to make a decent comedy’’, so they could stop making rubbish like: Meet the Spartans, Miss March, Disaster Movie etc… *** [Milan looks at Nikola and Djura] Milan: One of my buddy took in hands just born dauther, and started swaying her [ Milan is showing with his hands] and saying: Nuna, nuna, nuna... Tears of joy begin to fall all over his face, and in one point he stopped, look down to her tiny had and said: One day someone will fuck you too.... I mean, much, much later... Djura [saying to Nikola laughing]: About 15 years later… Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Sad attempt of a sequel. Completely distasteful - by the end of the film I felt so sick I decided not to even try and watch the third film.
