Christopher Kelly Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com Abrams has put forth the most James Bond-like installment of the franchise, paying little attention to plausibility and even less to the laws of physics. May 21, 2025 Full Review Sukhdev Sandhu Daily Telegraph (UK) While the narrative...is a hit-and-miss affair, Abrams does succeed in giving depth to the film's complex, swarming cluster of personal relationships. May 21, 2025 Full Review Joe Williams St. Louis Post-Dispatch In exchange for sitting through two hours of product placements and soul-deadening action sequences, we get a hectic tour of global hot spots and an illusory peek into the world of espionage. Rated: C- May 21, 2025 Full Review Katherine Monk Vancouver Sun Director J.J. Abrams does a nice job making Cruise look heroic...without making it look like a fashion shoot -although, there are times when it's tough to tell- and he even has enough confidence to offer some quiet moments to push some emotional content. Rated: 3/5 May 21, 2025 Full Review Gary Wolcott Tri-City Herald Though it still is missing the cerebral touch and machinelike precision of Bruce Geller's original TV series, Abrams' restless camera and sharp editing give his movie an edge that was missing in the first two films... Rated: B+ May 21, 2025 Full Review Christopher Borrelli Toledo Blade There's nothing really wrong with Mission III - except that sneaking suspicion that no surprises and no margin of error is what Cruise...intended. Julie T. Best in the series….easily. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/29/25 Full Review Ajay M This is the start where I fall in love with Mission Impossible Movies. Tom Cruise is the reason why I love this film and this is the start of good Mission Impossible Movies. I Love Tom Cruise and Mission Impossible Movies!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/25/25 Full Review Amirtaha N Action movies of the 2000s were really something else man... or maybe it's just J.J. Abrams I honest to god don't understand why they didn't use the mission impossible theme during the movie... like I could think of a million scenes were it would have been perfect to play the score on top of them; but no my guy J.J. chose to avoid it during the movie but use it during the end credits along with whatever toxic garbage that Impossible song was P.S. I could never get on the Philip Seymour Hoffman hype train; he's good in the surprisingly limited screen time he has but he's absolutely nowhere near the raves he gets for this performance. Another thing: what a stacked cast in retrospective! Kudos to the casting director... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/22/25 Full Review Vince C I've seen this movie a thousand times at this point and finally watched it with my girlfriend (her first time) last night. Obviously with an organization called the Impossible Mission Force it's implied that these movies are over the top, but they're supposed to be. It gets this rating only because of the fact that its the weakest of the films after the horrible John Woo (can we just not count that one as part of the series?). Ethan and Julia's relationship is believable, which I think is something that is actually really hard to pull off. Great acting, love this series. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/22/25 Full Review Ryan H M:I III is the perfect blend of action & espionage. A terrifying villain turn from Phillip Seamour Hoffman stands as the franchise’s best antagonist to date. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/21/25 Full Review Everett G Better than the first two films and I think the plot is way better. Plus I think Tom Cruise actually had good chemistry in this film with Michale Monaghan Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/20/25 Full Review Read all reviews
