Synopsis
This documentary explores, in roughly equal measure, the lives of Swedish entertainer Zarah Leander and her dedicated fans. Through archival footage, we see Leander's rise to fame in Nazi Germany and learn about her return to Scandinavia following a dispute with Joseph Goebbels. In interviews we meet several people who discuss Leander's unique charisma, including Paul Seiler, who remembers hearing her voice as a small child in Germany and then spends much of his life trying to serve his idol.
