Iddrisu, a talented medical student reluctantly returns home to the village of Nakom after his father's death. Iddrisu temporarily assumes responsibility for the impoverished household and farm, inheriting a debt that could destroy the family. Attempting to maintain part of his studies from the confines of a small hut, Iddrisu struggles to balance tradition and familial duty with the call to follow his own dreams.

11/27/2021 This film is a beautiful portrayal of a culture unseen to the eyes of most, tucked away in the Ghanaian countryside. That being said, the challenges faced by the protagonists are not unknown to non-Ghanaian audiences. Nakom tells a familiar tale set in an unexplored environment by the viewer. A must see adventure in humanity!
