Audience Member Another chick flick... from Sweden. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Maria Blom's previous effort was really good, and Masjävlar rightly won a hatful of awards in Sweden at the time of its release. That's why this film is such a letdown. The characters don't connect with the audience, and the plot is silly and of mass-production TV-serie value. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Nina Frisk (Sofia Helin) is a flight attendant who loves flying and the life that comes with it. Shopping, differerent destinations, parties and a floaty love/sex life. She is truly happy above the clouds, far away from her dysfunctional family. Her mother Jill, who is accepting all sorts of crap from her partner Krister, and her neurotic brother Linus and his family. At the same time she loves her family and only wants the best for them. But one day Nina meets Marcus and his son William, and she falls helplessly in love. For the first time ever in her life, Nina begins to long for a family of her own. She realises that she wants to settle down and she lets her heart do the talking for once. But soon enough Nina discovers that life on earth can be just as turbulent as in the sky... This is director Maria Blom´s second movie and second one with Sofia Helin as well. I did enjoy "Nina Frisk", but I would say that is so much thanks to Sofia Helin. I like her acting and she carries such a natural way of expressing herself. Plus she got to have the most beautiful and fantastic smile I have seen for a long long time in Swedish cinema. I am smitten big time. I was that already about Sofia Helin in "Masjävlar" back in 2004. But, I was not that happy with the ending so much. I expected something "more". Something that gave us a bit of a redder thread. But, it was good that we didn´t get a sappy ending at least. So, not too bad. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Svag uppföljare till Masjävlar. Inte ens Gunilla Nyroos övertygar riktigt. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Mysig film. Hade en del poäng. Skönt på en lördagkväll. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
