Audience Member Fans of mid-century film kitsch will be pleasantly rewarded. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member This was pretty ridiculous, even for nudie-cutie standards. As a student of natural sciences I couldn't bare the massive amount of scientific absurdities, however by the end we are left thinking if all we've seen was the fantasy of a guy so buried into scientific work that he isn't able to have a sexual life. Anyway, the setting of the "moon" looked like someone's backyard, the women were mute and topless, which is not as interesting in today's world as it was back then. Overall, this was boring, ridiculous and too cheesy. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow, this movie is pretty crazy; crazy bad, not crazy good. The story is a stupid waste of time, and as a sci-fi movie it makes little sense at all. This is one of the worst sci-fi movies I've ever seen. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Should be called "Topless on the Moon". More noteworthy as a curio rather than a piece of filmmaking. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm kinda fascinated with Doris Wishman and her flicks, so I had to search for this one and give it a go. A nudist film more than a straight-up sleaze flick or skin flick. Horrendously made, but, this isn't a flick you go into with high expectations. I dig the antlers on those moon-folk, though. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Doris Wishman's nudie pictures of the sixties are an hilarious relic of the time period as they were incompetently made films whose only selling point was the chance to see *gasp* NUDITY on the big screen; since man had yet to walk on the moon at the time this movie came out, it decided to present the fantasy that the moon was populated by a colony of topless women! Since it was technically still illegal to showcase full-frontal nudity during this time period, these films would often use "Austin Powers"-like creativity in order to hide the genitalia, though, unfortunately, "Nude on the Moon" goes the lazy route by just having the nudists wear shorts. Anyway, since nudity is no longer a novelty in film, the main reason to watch a movie like this these days is to laugh at the sheer technical ineptitude. Since most of the dialogue was recorded in post-production, the dialogue scenes are generally made up of reaction shots and cutaways in order to hide the fact that the actors' lips won't match what they're saying; the most hilarious example of this is a scene where, in order to keep their mouths covered up, the two astronauts have a conversation with CB radios even though they're sitting RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER!
