Audience Member Oxide Pang screenplays and directs this drama romantic film about 3 best friends growing up. All three main actors Elanne Kwong, Rex@Square and Janice Man delivered such fine performances with lots of human emotions/feelings that delivered 3 likeable characters to a good/easy to understand story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Lentona... me gusto el tema, pero es muy lenta... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Very seldom do I give a 9/10. But I personally just love this one! I didn't expect something like this from Oxide Pang who is well-known really only for action or thriller films. I think he did a superb job here. The story is simple (similar to Happy Birthday which I watched the other day). The plots are rather unsurprising and unexciting. But it's the script and the lines that I like. The dialogues, the settings, and the emotions feel right for the entire film. Some tears, but not too tear-jerking. Now, no actor/actress is going to get an Oscar for this film. But this is a teenager movie and I don't expect very strong acting anyway. Their performances are fine though. And of course everyone is cute! :) Lastly, the music: excellent score and songs. I probably would have given this movie a 7/10 if the music is mediocre. Anyone knows where I can buy the soundtrack CD? And the piano score of the main theme? Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member why is terminal illness a recurring theme in Asian love stories? This can be a title for a PhD thesis. Nothing new, fresh nor very romantic in this film. It seems fake to me. You can tell from some director's work that even though their work is nothing impressive, they've lived in HK. This one seems very superficial and made-up. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member What can you expect from 3 former classmates (1 guy, 2 girls) who are best of friends? Love triangle of course! And just like any other love stories, the girl falls for a guy who's in love with someone else. Will friendship triumph, will love prevail or can both happen at the same time? Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice change of pace to Hong Kong's horror dominators. Director Oxide Pang Chun films a ominous tearjerker starring Elanne Kwong (Scare 2 die) along with Janice Man (See You in You Tube) and Rex Ho in his first feature film. Death heed's Ling's (Kwong) existence and is forced by human nature to keep the secret away from her good friends only Siu (Man) has a secret of her own that she keeps to herself as well involving Rex (Ho) who's apple is not too far from the tree. Obviously Oxide Pang is the strongest director from the brothers who bring some excellent thriller films to the screen; not to mention some great action films, and adding a drama like this to the list of great movies...these guys can do it all. The performances in the film are well-mannered with Elanne Kwong having most of the hard work in character development, and the direction is smooth sailing with some hard-hitting emotions that capture the essence of what it is to have a love feeling for someone you just can't have, don't like and impossible to feat.
