Sebastian Zavala Kahn Más Gamers ...it's a mixed bag that doesn't do anything right, meaning it's an occasionally entertaining but unsatisfactory product. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 1.5/4 Jan 30, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Based on the Onechanbara series of fighting games that were part of D3 Publisher's Simple 2000 series, it's pretty amazing that this movie transcends the budget origins of the video game that inspired it. Aya has a katana sword and a bikini and is somehow incredibly gifted when it comes to killing zombies, which have been brought back from the dead by Dr. Sugita and her sister Saki, who is responsible for killing their father. So she brings along her sidekicks Katsuji, and the gunmistress Reiko to stop the undead and kill her sister. If this was a practical effects movie filled with spraying blood I'd probably like it even more than I do. But the CGI blood and effects wear on you after a while and you start to wonder, how can a movie with a sword-carrying bikini-clad female warrior against the living dead be so boring? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member In a world overrun by zombies, a master female assassin, her male companion and a mysterious gun toting leather clad woman seek revenge against an evil scientist This is a live action movie based on a popular video game, and with all things Japanese it is a unique thing to watch. The story is your basic honour and revenge movie, with the three heroes searching out the villain to right the wrongs done against their various families, and it doesn't really go any further than that. The cast all seem to have fun, but with it being presented in it's native language, it is a little difficult to tell if they are being completely over the top or not. The high points of this movie are undoubtedly the action sequences that the Japanese love and do like no other. The sword fights are incredibly well choreographed, and the wire work has the lead character flipping around the scenes like you would not believe. The special effects are good on the whole, and even the totally fake looking cgi blood adds to the overall feel of the film. This is in no way a masterpiece of Japanese cinema, but if you want a quick movie with an easy storyline and plenty of action, you can't go far wrong. And who out there doesn't like movies where a sword wielding woman in a bikini and a cowboy hat battles countless zombies!!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Zombie-slaying actioner from Japan with lashings of cheap CGI blood 'n' gore but nicely choreographed action sequences to keep the entertainment levels reasonably high. The story is basic and the characters cliched but I still had fun with this. The main heroine in this is seriously cute too! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I admit that I were part of the Wolfs to think that I will just focus on those beauties but who knows, I am surprised to see that the film itself is the main beauty, not the ladies.Yes,You can complain the cheap CGIS and so-so acting,a bit over(I find most of the cast from Japan is like that).I do agree with you yet I felt that the director is quite putting his effort to make a good film. Underrated,Right direction and a Ear-catchy soundtracks and sound-effects for the sword clashing. It's not just appreciated the fans of the game to watch it and made those "Otakus" only stick their eyes to beauty and licking their saliva instantly,Overall.Believe it or not. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member An entertaining B-movie. If left me wanting more!
