Nina (Valentina Korotayeva), an accomplished doctor, gets a surprise visit from Rita (Evdokiya Germanova), who has found fame as a writer. During their adolescence, the two women shared a seemingly unbreakable bond that was shattered by the entrance of a man they both loved. Initially, their reunion goes smoothly, but, as their conversation progresses, the current, mutual goodwill is eclipsed by the reemergence of the grudges and resentments that destroyed their friendship once before.
