sarah s I gave it 4 stars because it's not perfect, its not in the same category of greatness like my favorite movies, but I love movies like these a lot, and I don't care that it is similar to Paranormal Activity. There's countless movies out there similar to each other. Why people would complain that this movie is similar to Paranormal Activity is dumb in my opinion. I never got why people care so much about that. I liked Paranormal Activity so much, I hoped they would make more like it. The third act contained notable scares and had a very chilling vibe to it. Erin Marie Hogan does a great job of being the daughter in the film. I saw this before any of the Paranormal Activity movies. I've been watching horror movies since I was 3 years old...so it really does take quite a bit to actually unnerve and or scare me. This movie...granted not the best out there did just that. It had some good spooks and it totally had the creep factor to it as well...much like The Exorcist.
