Audience Member pure bio documentary but very entertaining.. though the result of moasim experiment is not clear.. get to know the old china Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Fascinating to put it lightly. I am buying a book on this dude... Very strange but very affective. They say he never brushed his teeth. They also say while civilians were not laboring or at work he pushed them to trap rats and catch flies in an effort to make a pest free society! And they did it!! A documentary with some funny animations and some great vintage stock footage. But at times seemed to drag on a bit with the narrator just rumbling on about certain periods in the mans life. None the less it sparked something for me to read up on so it can;t be that bad. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Hops between chronicling historical notes & tongue-in-cheek anecdotes about Mao's toilet & sexual practices. Most notably - highlighting social benefits of the Cultural Revolution; citing increased life expectancy, (rural) primary/secondary school enrollment, can-do attitude amongst women & peasant pride.
