Audience Member In a grey, rigid institutional world of power and fear, one woman is like a Mento in a bottle of Diet Coke. Pepperminta licks doorbells, has a troupe of pet strawberries, and gathers outcasts. Her mission: to show the subversive power of color, touch, light, sound, and friendship. The camera in this film weaves, bobs, sways, and caresses, breaking out of the rigid world of right angles and absolute horizons. This is haptic cinema at its finest, using visual images to arouse our senses of taste, touch, smell, and our sense of thrill at antiauthoritarian resistance. Don't look for your usual plot (though there is certainly climax). Instead, imagine the world if there were more Peppermintas, and if our rigid dichotomies of good/bad/married/single/old/young were delightfully parodied and challenged. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Its completely lunatic no holds barred denial of reality at large movie with some quotable moments and down right, evil lies to probobly be implemented in the, hopefully not so nearby, post feminsit apocalypse. I think. (Because I dont know if we can handle this freedom without really getting on each others nerves in a major way and women tend to that. Save the world this, save the world that, this isnt right for me that isnt wrong for you, why don t you change your attitudes and move over so I can do my little freedom dance of freedom...I need to be FREEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH...I could go on) If people with this kind of conviction about a better style of life for the living would actually waste the time and money and energy on people who would actually appreciate it instead of just rolling the damm boulder up the hill again and again, we would probobly be getting somewhere. Also I thought that the sexual themes where not dramatized and finallized(!!!FUCKING FINISH THIS MOTHERFUCKR OFF FOR GODS SAKE ONCE AND FOR ALL MY GOD!!!) enough, as they never are. Only REAL hippy movie in existance after yellow submarine. The rest is either bs or moonshine. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Unfortunately, this movie will probably never find a distributor in the americas. Visually stunning because directed by an edgy video artist, it is a modern fable about being true to onself, depite social pressure to conform and follow the norms, and on the importance of keeping our ability to see the world with child like wonder . It does more to refresh and modernize ideas of feminism than most of what has been written on the subject in the past 50 years.Prepare for a visual orgy of color and to have a lingering smile on your face, if you ever have the chance to see it. Good acting and intersting soundtract as well. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
