Aunque la primera película era mala en muchos aspectos, la manera en que logro ofrecer risas fue suficiente para hacer esta secuela. Los tomates no tienen mucha participación, pero esta película es sin duda mejor que la primera. La entrega anterior era todo un delirio aleatorio y esta secuela es una comedia más consistente que llega a sentirse como un sketch. Es una producción de bajo presupuesto, pero luce más decente y tiene un manejo bastante bueno del humor paródico. En esta película llega incluso a romperse la cuarta pared ofreciendo momentos hilarantes. Esta película aclara bastante como la música juega un factor importante como se insinuaba en la película anterior y nos presentan al Dr. Gangreen como el auténtico autor de los tomates asesinos. La película anterior nunca mostró a este personaje, por más que la sinopsis oficial anunciaba que él era el responsable y termino siendo solo un adelanto de que se ve en esta secuela. La película parodia bastante el cliché del científico loco que busca dominar el mundo por medio de sus creaciones y como una de sus creaciones quiere descubrir su identidad haciendo una paradoja a Frankenstein. Lo que hace que esta película sea menos ridícula que la anterior es cambiar a los tomates por versiones alteradas que los hace ver como humanos reales. Algo que en lo conceptual es digno de una comedia y es bastante sutil. Lo que llega a hacer que esta película sea memorable es la participación de Sean Astin como el Dr. Gangreen por ofrecer una actuación excéntrica que recuerda su participación en The Addams Family. También se puede recordar esta película por formar parte de los inicios de George Clooney como actor antes de convertirse en la estrella de Hollywood que es ahora. Aun siendo un novato, George demuestra un gran encanto que sería visto más adelante en producciones de Hollywood. Aunque la canción de los créditos iniciales es un remix poco memorable de la canción de la película anterior, los créditos finales concluyen la película con una canción bastante pegajosa que es digna de disfrutar en un día de verano en la playa. Return Of The Killer Tomatoes es una divertida película que entretiene y logra hacer reír con su humor paródico. Mientras la anterior generaba risas por lo ridícula que era, esta secuela es un sketch realmente prometedor. Mi calificación final para esta película es un 8/10.

Now this is something I enjoyed! I consider this film an improvement over Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, since the budget of this film was $1 million and not $100,000. The score and John De Bello's direction was pretty good for me along with George Clooney's preformance. The screenplay was an average for me, but overall I like this film better. I'll give this film 4/5 stars and a "B+" grade.

Perfect movie. Best use of product placement. George Clooney with a mullet. The movie treats its absurdity with amein of seriousness, which means that it's incredibly funny.

I want to kill the tomatoes as much as I want to the main characters as much as the characters want to kill the tomatoes. I know that was a mouthful but if you just carefully go through it, it will make sense
