It is historically interesting by the (brief) moments you can see Josephine Baker. Unless you are a fan of the revue format, unnecessary.

This movie was hard to watch. Sure there's a short story interspersed throughout the film, but it's broken up incessantly by dance numbers that take up most of the film's run time, and although they're colorful they're quite boring. I got very bored. If you're looking for a good documentary of 1920s dancing, just watch this movie. If you're looking for a good story, actors, directing, cinematography, etc, look elsewhere.
