Audience Member It's universally accepted that Uwe Boll just cannot direct a decent film, but that doesn't mean they fail to entertain, this one was just dysmal though. A serial-killer movie with little killing, no suspense and a miscast villain. Boring and uninteresting. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I like this movie only because it reminds my of a guy (Mr. Toth) I use to work with, it's a good movie only if got that psycho streak in you. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member What a mess. So it's a Law and Order esque made-for-TV Uwe Boll cop drama, and not a particularly good one, even by his standards. It's a split narrative between a boring secret serial killer/business man who the cops call the monkey maker serial killer... yeah, what were they thinking. The other half of the narrative is the overacting cop on the case, trying to catch him. When Eric Roberts is the most talented actor on your set, you know you've got problems. It never makes a whole lot of sense because whenever anybody talks, it's so boring and uninteresting, you can't help but zone out. The acting is bad, the dialogue is terrible, and it's only 86 minutes long, but it has one of those Citizen Kane effects where it feels about twice as long as it actually is... I can just picture the DVD cover now: "John McCloskey compares Boll to Welles!" Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member It's Uwe Boll's first movie. Believe it or not... It's not too bad. The acting is average, besides poor wooden Casper, and the story is OK. It's just basically a decent made for cable serial killer movie. You pretty much know everything that's going to happen if you've seen any serial killer movies. Michael Pare is always fun to watch, as is Eric Roberts. Don't let' Boll push you away. Give it a shot. Better than some of his others. As with his other films, some unintentional hilarity will ensue. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
