Red (Krew Boylan) lost her job as a real estate agent, but there's something no one can take away from her: her dream of becoming the world's greatest Dolly Parton impersonator! After her act attracts the attentions of an amorous Elvis impersonator (Rose Byrne) and a powerful booking agent (Bobby Cannavale), Red is catapulted into the top tier of copycat acts, becoming the onstage and romantic partner of the top Kenny Rogers impersonator. But when Red's life as an imitator starts to feel false, she discovers true happiness comes when you're being the best version of yourself.

Boylan has the creamy skin and bright blue eyes to shine in the Dolly moments. The musical numbers, presented with sweetness and sincerity, are a lot of fun. The real life scenes are not as lively or effectively staged.

The exploration is deep, very deep, so much so that one could easily imagine a much darker and edgier film could have been the result. As it is, "Seriously Red" sneaks up on you.

The performances are entertaining and the story is one that most of us can relate to. Is it groundbreaking? No. But if you are looking for a movie that will make you laugh, feel good, and you enjoy Dolly Parton, this will be an enjoyable film for you.

A great idea for a story and for the most part delivered with pace and some charm but I found it very hard to relate to the protaganist and her need to find herself. I struggled with her promiscuity, was baffled by her relationships with friends and family and felt the comedy was quite weak. The whole thing took off when we got an Elvis and Neil Diamond impersonator pairing - amazing and I read afterwards this is a real life couple. This was where the talent lay and I just wanted to see more of their stories. Consequently there seemed to have been a missed opportunity. I stuck with it as it is a relatively short film but I wouldn't be seeking it out to view again.

A clever idea poorly executed. It tried to be in the class of Muriel's Wedding but lacked the wit, storyline and charm. Apart from the lead, the acting was sub-standard.

Ok movie. Singing pretty good and despite several of my friends being in it, a total let down. Whoever did the makeup for the Kenny Rogers actor definitely needs to go back to makeup school. Not recommended 😔

Pretty pathetic movie with poor acting, no plot or interesting characters. Just some gal showing off her big chest which gets boring after about 5 seconds. It makes you wonder who is making such a bad movie - don't quit your day job, - oh wait, this is your day job, which is very sad.
