Now that Captain Lovett (Warner Baxter) is getting married, he wants to move out of slave-trading and into a more honorable line of work. Lovett instructs his crew to go aboveboard, but first mate Jack (Wallace Beery) and the others don't want to give up their lucrative business. Led by the sneering Lefty, the crew stages a mutiny and then loads the ship up with its familiar cargo. Lovett must devise a plan to take back his ship and punish the traitors.
