When a seaplane flying over the South Pacific hits a major storm, the vessel must be abandoned. Following the death of the pilot, the survivors, including the shifty Whitey (Richard Attenborough) and the beautiful Teresa (Pier Angeli), must brave the ocean before washing ashore on a remote island. Once on land, the group slowly begins to realize that they are on a site where an atomic bomb will soon be tested. Can they come up with a way to escape or make their presence known before the blast?

Audience Member Low budget, but great plot and acting for the day. Very fun and tense in a great 1960 way. The less said about the miniatures used the better, but very entertaining. The movie info. on this site contains a huge spoiler.
