Anyone that thinks this is a good sci-fi movie needs a lobotomy and better friends. The script makes no sense, characters and events are completely inconsistent or nonsensical. No backstory is explained at all for anyone or anything, and all the characters are one-dimensional caricatures. No wonder this is a Hungarian movie.

It's a really good sci fi movie. Great action, lots going on, and you hardly lose interest. My only downfall, was the ending. Such a build-up. Lights were f amazing battle scenes…..but you're left wondering ‘why?'. I won't spoil it too much.

Mostly competent high concept movie, but of the kind that fails to trust the audience and becomes an exercise in unending exposition. Spectral straddles that line between smart creative people and the true artists that make you think about what you are seeing instead of trying to describe it to you. That said ithe ideas are so strong and unexpected that they mostly carry the day and keep you invested in what will happen next through the entire movie. The performances are fine for what they are which is two dimensonal and lacking any agency. They exist because the script needs them to. In summary I would give this a light reccomend, it keeps you interested at least for the time it is playing, it just won't stick with you afterwards.

I like it! Special mention to James badge dale, a pleasure to watch him on screen, should have more lead part and also like the military aspects, protocol, langage precisions, the science part was reaching but Dale make it believable, he want us to see more of his character

Other than all the pseudoscience and MacGyvering of impossible devices (no you cannot turn a hyperspectral imager into a hyperspectral spotlight, nor can you build an arsenal of "focused energy pulse" weapons in a few hours from spare parts laying around your emergency shelter... Besides, projectile weapons are already "focused energy pulse" weapons) this was a pretty entertaining movie. The premise is interesting, if not terribly plausible. The action is engaging and the production value is pretty high. Performances are decent, though nothing special. Good enough at least to not ruin the movie overall. I feel like this movie could have been really awesome if they had hired a few more science advisors to keep things in at least the realm of hypothetical possibility. Still, overall, a worthwhile watch, especially if you're in to sci-fi.

Spectral probably won't win many awards for originality, but if you're down for a "ghosts vs. soldiers" action flick that doesn't take itself all that seriously [and] moves at a nice pace... then Spectral will probably fit the bill.
