s l Wow, I hate being like this about someone's work but this is a really, really, really, really bad movie. Were things rushed so they couldn't take their time with this and make it meaningful. It's just chock full of poorly written basic concepts that just seem slapped together. It's just so bad I can't even stand it, and I gave it to the end when I really just wanted to shut it down. I guess I kept hoping the stupid parts would be few but they aren't few. It's not the acting or the filming necessarily but something else and I'm not a professional film critic or I'd probably be able to recognize exactly where this movie went wrong. Things just did not flow. The story is poorly written, based on some poorly understood basic pop psychology concepts, taken to an extreme with the stereotyping of foster children and those addicted to drugs and imprisoned. It's just kind of sickening to me to watch this drivel. Quite honestly, when one sides with the supposed villain who is supposed to be looked at as being in the wrong, then the writer just isn't a very good writer. This story just used a bunch of cliched stereotyped characters and situations and there was no depth to anything. Everything was obvious and basic from the ridiculous restaurant scene, to the girlfriends ridiculous all-of-a-sudden turn around to her parent's point of view, all the way to the ending scenes. On the positive side, the baby was cute. I hope they didn't purposely make it cry to satisfy their story though. I can't say enough bad about this movie and I really hate to be this way. Don't watch it. Save yourself some time. All it will do it cement those preconceived notions. It won't deepen your understanding of people, or of these situations, AT ALL! Also I can't believe all the positive reviews except that they're filling in blanks in the film with their own stereotypes that weren't already shown in the movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Started off quite lame, but did improve and I actually really enjoyed this. It's definitely either straight to DVD or a TV movie, but I think the young couple did a good job in their roles. That guy was really creepy and scared the crap out of me just watching when he got going on one of his screaming rants. Maybe the girl was a little too calm for the age she was portraying, but it was in her character and honestly, if she had been a more emotional young girl, the outcome would have been very different. Worth a look, if, like me, you don't mind a good b grade thriller. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was a waste of my time. The actress were horrible showed no emotions not even a little face expression. The movie seems unfinished. It was simply dumb. The girl is never even stalked the climax of the movie is like in the last 5 minutes and it ends before the resolution. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Meh, the acting was pretty bad and it was pretty predictable. The stalking thing has been really overdone, it wasn't that original. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member What I got to say about "Stalked at 17" is that it's an intimidating and intense of a drama movie. The performances in this movie are extreme. "Chuck Hittinger gives an powerful performance." The directing by Doug Campbell is extraordinary. The screenplay by Christine Conradt is really well written. The score in this movie is good. "I'm raving that "Stalked at 17" is a movie that so trepidation and apprehension movie I have ever seen!" It's a outstanding movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Stalked at 17...is what it's about. There's a girl, who's 17, and she gets stalked. It's a modern midday movie, and explains why there's no actual picture for the cover o.O Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
