Jim R
One of the better fan films out there. Great production values and an interesting storyline.

Although the film runs off of the now "Legends" canon, it still is one of the best - if not the best - Star Wars fan film.
The acting was really good, considering a lot of the actors were more tilted towards community and local theatre acting, or small time screen acting. Given when it was made, the quality of the recording is decent, since it wasn't made with the super spiffy Hollywood grade cameras.
The music was quite amazing. They hired a composure to write it, since using copyrighted Star Wars music could have gotten them in trouble, and I ended up making a donation/purchasing the music from him. The guy is a really good composure - he had to keep away from using the exact, well known music from SW, but it still sounded very SW to me.
Overall, when you remember that the story is set in "Legends" era canon, it's an amazing take on what could have triggered the rise of the rebellion. I still watch it every year or so, because of how much I liked the film.
If you're considering making a fan film, I suggest watching this. Also, contacting Felux for advice and contacts (such as the rotoscopers from this project) isn't a bad idea either.

I love Star Wars. I wish George Lucas would have completed this. It could have been super awesome, but for a short film, it was really good.

Sadly I enjoyed it better than any of the recent trilogy. For an indie SW film, this rocks.
