I noticed the theme of addiction again in this movie, with characters saying things like, “I can’t go without it.” It sort of shows how weak we are as humans. Thankfully, not everyone in this movie boards the bandwagon.
I think the only thing I didn’t like was some of the editing. In the fight and abduction scenes, everything looked too fast and inconsistent. Other than that, I’d rate this movie a 7/10.
I’m curious about a few things with The Stuff. Like, how did it get its name? How come it tastes like cold yogurt even though it’s a boiling liquid? Is there any way to defeat the stuff? Why does every character blindly accept it without questioning how it was made or whether it was tested? What specifically does it do to people? There was a scene early in the movie where Charlie and Mr. Rutherford ran away from someone who had been ‘consumed’ by the stuff. The man who was consumed was deformed in the process, but then he appeared normal 2 shots later. So does the stuff just eat people only to spit them out again slightly weaker? I’m just not sure.
Overall, while this movie was confusing and sometimes gross, I did enjoy it. Its cinematography, story, and concept are all very appealing. I honestly want to do a deeper dive into what the stuff is. What it tastes like, what to do to exterminate it, where it comes from, what its ultimate goal is, etc.

I have to be honest; I am not the biggest fan of this movie. I can’t tell if this is a horror film or if it is a film genuinely about how good the candy is. The actors and acting weren’t my favorites; it felt as though I knew the actors were acting. I believe that it’s important to make the audience feel what the movie is trying to portray, and I just didn’t feel that. I wouldn’t watch it again. I will say that if this were a film that was going to be remade, then it could have some potential, but other than that, it’s not my favorite. There’s not really a lot for me to say about it.

The Stuff is such a weird and goofy movie to watch. The entire time I can’t believe they approved something of white goo that was so tasty, and then to sell it off as a product in stores, and everywhere worldwide. Now obviously this is all make believe and maybe in real life if this were to occur, people would’ve actually done this just to gain money and profit for themselves without thinking of the repercussions or consequences of their own actions at all. I didn’t mind the story, it was easy and thorough enough for me to follow what was happening in every shot and sequence. Mo’s adventure to investigate the good substance with Nicole and everyone else who had their beliefs or not, is something that kept me watching to see if they were able to do something about the stuff in general. The effects to me were so funny and so bad to watch, since it did look goofy to me to see the special effects of the good bonding with the person, and also just the way it looked, too, of how it wasn’t that great to begin with as well. But I don’t blame them, since I know they still tried and attempted to make something with what they got. I actually didn’t mind watching this movie, and rather prefer watching it with friends who haven’t seen this film , since if I had to guess, people my age probably haven’t seen this film before, or ever in their lives, so I would give it a chance to show people the movie and like to see what they liked or didn't like about the movie as well.

The whole movie is just very dumb in the way its structured, the dialogue, and the way the stuff was discovered. It is bad but in a funny way of being able to watch it and laugh at how dumb the movie is respectfully. Still makes for funny experience I think it would be better with a group of family members just making fun of how bad the movie is.

The Stuff is a horror/comedy that has special effects so bad they are good. The movie has lots of goofy scenes from the start where a guy sees a white foamy substance bubbling out of the ground, and he does what we would all do, he starts eating it. "It tastes Good!". Next thing you know Jed's a millionaire and the Stuff is being eaten and marketed everywhere. Problem is the stuffs takes control of people and leaves them empty husks. In the end the bad guys are forced to eat the stuff, and our hero asks them. "Are you eating the stuff, or is the stuff eating you?"

Meanwhile at the town's post office, they both find the owner—a regular consumer of The Stuff—dead. Until they both find out about the item's secret: The Stuff is actually a living, parasitic, extraterrestrial organism that can gradually takes over the brain and mutates those who eat it into zombie-like creatures, which it then uses to make more of itself before bursting out of their bodies and leaving empty husks behind. The Stuff's weakness is that it is susceptible to fire, and Mo uses this to escape several traps set by The Stuff and zombies.
Then Rutherford eventually saves Jason and a pair with his lover Nicole, an advertising executive. The trio infiltrates the distribution plant, a organized corporate effort to spread The Stuff to eliminate the world’s hunger, and manages to destroy the lake where The Stuff is being extracted with explosives. Meanwhile the United States Army Col. Malcolm Grommet Spears, a retired solider to team up with the trio and leads with a militia in battling the zombies and transmitting a civil defense message to break their addiction to The Stuff by destroying it with fire. However as they were attempting to broadcast their warning to the people, The Stuff burst out a zombified of Charlie’s throat, cornering that Nicole and Jason were in the recording booth. Until Rutherford electrocutes The Stuff while it burns, and then they make their national broadcast. The Stuff's popularity quickly soon plummets as the public rallies to destroy all supplies. With the crisis seemingly averted, Rutherford, Nicole, Jason, and Col. Spears are hailed as national heroes. But something tells that The Stuff will soon come for revenge.

This was creepy and gooey if you ask me. Like selling alien ice cream to humans, that’s just disgusting and wrong. But in all of this film it was still pretty good Sci-Fi and Horror film to make.
