Audience Member This compilation of low budget horror is competent at best with Cameron Mitchell doing a good job making fun of the clips. If you love B movies, have fun watching it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Nothing more really then a compilation of horror movies from Continental Video but Terror on Tape holds a soft spot for me. Back in high school & rented this along w/ the XXX erotic art film House of Dream. I was having a fair amount of people @ my house & when ever we were heavily under the influence we would watch these 2 tapes. I was enjoying them so much I kept them for a month. The video store I rented from wasn't impressed @ all & put me into collections for 30 days rental & sale of the tapes. It was something like $500. A friend of mine who used to work there said an alarm would go off when you put in my account stating don't rent to this person. They never did get their money & the entire franchise has gone bankrupt which is really too bad because @ one time it was a haven for VHS. Anyways enough about Jumbo Video..When I had originally seen Terror on Tape I had seen 1 movie on it (The Prey). Now Ive seen 8. This clips make these movies look a lot better then they actually are but I seriously think that I need to watch Nightmare in the Damaged Brain again. There's 20 gory schlocky movies featured (including Herschell Gordon Lewis's blood trilogy) where they are introduced in horror movie rental shop to the customers that come in by a weird store owner..or maybe he just works there. The customers rang from a geek who wants to be scared but not too much & these clips are too off the charts for him; a construction work who likes a good zombie movie & likes to see some boobie too; & a chic who want to be so scared she peaks. It has all the production value of community TV but if your going to have a promo for a bunch of cheap gore flix it suits it perfectly..besides it has high nostalgia value that I'll never be as fucked up as when I originally saw this on VHS tape Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
