andrey k Sweet and charming soviet sci-fi fantasy. Typical soviet idea of a society living as a whole under certain conditions of course. At least this film doesn't have a happy ending. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member An unusually high spirited Russian Film that is a unique blend of a Romantic Fairytale & Science Fiction. The story of an amphibian creature that is the obsession of local fisherman who is equally obsessed with the village beauty. As this unique story progresses we find the creature is quite human. A fascinating & unusual film that stays with you... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member some memories from the childhood Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Film vu dans le cadre du festival Fantasia. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Opens and closes interestingly enough, but is a little sluggish in the middle. Notable for its underwater footage and some pretty good performances. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This film is absolutely beautiful. What they had to go through for the underwater scenes was just amazing - if you can get your hands on the documentaries they did on the filming, I totally recommend them. I've never seen another movie like it, and it's my favorite love story. I just wish more people would see it, it's up there with City of Lost Children as my favorite fairy tale movie. For goodness' sake, don't watch the trailer, though - every plot point is in it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
