Raiodesol S While cheesy and predictable, the effort to do something a tiny different is there. Good kills and good enough characters. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review Juli N Pure 80s Slashfest! Grotesque onscreen kills that will leave a lasting impression! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/04/24 Full Review M M I really liked the part where he kills the college kids with oddball tools. I also watched the new Star Wars show Ahsoka, but that show sucks big time in comparison to THE MUTILATOR!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/23/23 Full Review Chad G When it comes to horror films that haven't aged well, The Mutilator usually comes to mind. It is a prime example of pure 80s horror cheese. While the film takes a bold risk in revealing the killer at the start, it unfortunately fails to build any real suspense or intrigue after that. From the outset, the film feels like a sitcom with its opening credits and theme song, which was not needed. While it follows the basic horror premise of teens getting knocked off one by one, other films have done it better. However, "The Mutilator" does manage to deliver some brutal kills using various fishing and ocean equipment, though the special effects have not aged well. Overall this film falls in the middle of the road for horror films, with few qualities that make it stand out from the crowd. While the gore is plentiful, the dated effects and predictable storyline make it a disappointing watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/15/23 Full Review Steve D Nothing memorable or new here. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/07/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is AMAZING. The most fun slasher I have seen to date, although this probably won't age well. Boobs, sex, brutal gore, haunting atmosphere, a great plot, great emotion, characters you really like, even the dialogue is well written. What prevents this from being a major series is the worst acting I have ever seen. The lines are delivered poorly and awkwardly. The movie rarely gets it right, you more laugh or get scared at what was said, not how. The pacing is good, the writing was good, the actors cast were not. It feels like they were reciting the lines, not that they are these characters. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
