Audience Member This is a self promoting documentary. It voukd have been interesting should the producer, family and his friends had stuck to the facts. Instead they spend 90 minutes gargling in front of the camera talking nonsense. This little group of Scottsdale people are more interested in selling a 150 page book theorizing some stories about the lights. It is too bad because the lights were real, but this documentary was a total waste of time. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent expose on the most historic, most documented and perhaps the most important mass anomalous aerial sightings in Modern History. Fascinating hearing from the credible first-hand witnesses themselves, (including pilots, military & nurse)) & even respected 6th man to walk on the Moon, Astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, as well as a 911 Phoenix police operator. Lots to learn. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Cathartic Experience For Those Touched By Such Phenomenon, Be It A Religious Or Scientific Perspective one Takes On. After Watching This You'd Have To Question Your Beliefs In Some Shape Or Form. We Certainly Fear What We Do Not Understand...Hopefully This Mass Sighting Is Nothing To Worry About. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I could have done without the overuse of too-loud new age background music (which rather than adding to the film, cheapened it), and many of the interviews and commentary were redundant and drug out longer than need be. This could have easily been a good 30 minutes shorter. Don't get me wrong, I'm a MAJOR UFO/Phenom/Unexplained Mysteries/Ancient Aliens buff, but the film lacked professional editing. Towards the end I was checking the time, wondering how much longer it was going to go on...that shouldn't happen. Aside from that, a very informative and mesmerizing documentary, with very credible witnesses. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting but gets a little too 'new agey' for my tastes by the time the credits roll. I prefer docs that stick to the hard science. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review tom m A fun eyewitness account of the famous "Phoenix Lights" phenomenon that logically refutes the government's explanations of what went on and presents some interesting notions of just what these things look like. The final third is where this documentary goes off the rails a bit into new age-y global warm-y and we-are-not-alone cheesiness. The documentary really just needed to focus on what a "UFO" actually is without all the "aliens among us" conjecture and philosophy about the nature of humanity and it's self-destruction and why we're being observed. A "UFO" is an "Unidentified Flying Object". Just that. It's flying and you don't know what it is. Leave the speculation open to the audience via the presentation of the facts. This is where UFO documentaries often loose credibility or any sheen of seriousness. That, and the fact that they often have crappy video effects and spacey music. "The Phoenix Lights" suffers from those drawbacks, but if you just focus on the eye-witness stories, accounts and fact around the phenomenon that it presents, you'll have fun. And you'll probably be pretty mad at how the city council treated one of their own when she brought the subject up as a civil concern for the city. Be sure to watch after the credits for updates to the story as well! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
