Audience Member Christopher Lee stars in this bizarro bit of 1960s Italian horror that was originally titled "The Virgin of Nuremberg" about women who are being tortured to death in an old castle by a deformed, hooded, holocaust survivor. It's story that's certainly not in the best of taste, though that is rather parr for the course for director Antonio Margheriti, the man behind "Cannibal Apocalypse" and "Killer Fish." It's not a terrible movie, but it's a pretty far cry from similar gothic style horror by the like of say, Mario Bava. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Stereotypical Italian horror nonsense with a solid performance by Christopher Lee. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Poorly dubbed and at times the music is almost comical. The movie has trouble staying on an even keel; at times it starts to get as interesting as any other 60's horror movie, then it stumbles on itself like a drunken sailor -- hey, I resembled that remark! To bad the movie could not have been as good as the sets and the castle, because they are very good -- although having a "torture" museum in off the main entrance would be a little disturbing. Favorite Line: Monheir -- "I'm not going to abuse your body, I just want to kill you." Mais non, ce n'est pas un Hammer mais un très bon film de genre italien. Pour tous les fans, et surtout pour le grand Christopher Lee! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Another movie that terrified me as a kid and severely disppointed me as an adult. Dripping with atmosphere, but then what Italian gothic of the period isn't? To add insult to injury, Christopher Lee's dialogue is dubbed by a different actor. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Waste of TIME!! Very Weak movie, DO NOT WATCH, if you do end up watching it, side effects may include: Suicide, murder ramapages, road ramapage, any kinds of ways of harming yourself, and many others...
