Oz S @Ozsoffy Nov 24 The movie sets up a familiar survival scenario, the kind I normally enjoy, but this time it never reaches its potential. The tension feels uneven, and the story becomes predictable very early. You can spot the main character from the very first shot, which weakens the sense of uncertainty the genre usually relies on. The overall execution feels a bit too straightforward, without the clever twists that could have elevated it. There are still a few small highlights. The use of latino music adds a fun touch and gives some scenes a bit of personality, but it’s not enough to carry the film. In the end it comes off as flat and not especially engaging. I liked the idea of the company being created and the little touches like 'bringing the world together' in the background as well as the creator of the game wanting to analyse human behaviour. I always think the characters that end up surviving can be a little predictable though. I knocked a point off because the ending ruined it a little for me as I found it a little unrealistic that the character would be able to put the explosives on the security guards whilst being held up by two of them and the fact that he killed that many people in succession whilst avoiding his name. It would have been cool if he accidentally killed himself or something in the rush, just for spontaneity's sake. See more George M @Milkyway Oct 24 Absolute waste of time. See more Lúcio Leonardo P Jul 31 This compelling piece of entertainment draws attention for its survival theme within the chosen environment and for its likable characters, who are well-introduced. It's violent, with subtexts of "denunciations" about how large corporations kill their employees from overwork and how leaders are merely deceptive "faces." However, it fails to sustain interest until the end, delivering more of the same, and depending on how "deadly" your workday went, you may or may not enjoy it.
