It ain't all bad but it drags. The main characters are sympathetic which is what makes you not tune out but the storytelling is slow and mostly uneventful. The premise had great potential but it just wasn't funny enough. This movie had to be more comical to work and I doubt it will ever become a cult classic. Only someone who has been in nearly identical situations like the ones in this film or those who worked on it would enjoy it I feel. Rating: 5/10.

I thought it was OK at best. The interactions between Ed Helms and Amanda Seyfreid seemed awkward at best throughout. Then they go from, he doesn't know her last name, phone number or address to they are in love and getting married. Needed more development before making the big jump at the end of the movie. Had potential but either the screenwriter or the director screwed it up.

This is a sweet movie about earnest, socially awkward people who are just trying to make it through life. They get caught up in an exploitative situation where outsiders make fun of their earnestness and emotional vulnerability. It's gratifying to see them get a happy ending. But it does feel like it just misses the bullseye, there's a lot of untapped potential in this movie and it doesn't completely come together. It's not a bad watch.

The movie has probably become as unrecognizable as the clapper is supposed to be. A relatively stand out cast full of cameos, and just about the most random casting of any Hollywood film - but it's just lacking any substance or actual chemistry that it falls flat by the end.
