Desert G an important movie, portraying one of the most-evil gatherings in history. the acting is first-rate and the dialog is haunting. its effect is to realize the loathsome nature of the nazi functionaries and the depths of the human condition. branagh displayed courage and decency here. In January, 1942 high ranking members of the German Reich meet by Wansee Lake to determine plans for the Final Solution. That is, their plans to extinguish the Jewish people. At this point Germany controlled much of Europe and had systematically been killing Jews. But they wanted to speed up the process of their horrific ambitions. SS, Gestapo and government officials meet to nail down plans. There is disagreement but essentially they all have the same end goals. This is a dialogue heavy film that takes place in one setting but never feels static. It's acted without fanfare but with exactitude. A film about momentous events is matched superbly by its execution. Das Drehbuch schrieben Magnus Vattrodt und Paul Mommertz, die Handlung basiert auf einer gefunden Protokollabschrift. Der Anlass dieser Konferenz war die Besprechung der sogenannten Endlösung der Judenfrage. Ein bedrückendes Dokumentarspiel über die Strategen und Planer des Holocaust.
