Anton Bitel Sight & Sound Ex 'Bond girl' Kurylenko kicks ass against a motley crew of musclebound, tattooed masculinity, with an ironic smile that reminds us this is little more than a fun genre ride - with viciously gory kills. Jan 7, 2020 Full Review Clarisse Loughrey Independent (UK) [The Courier is] a leaden action film that lacks both imagination and logic. Rated: 2/5 Dec 21, 2019 Full Review Ed Potton Times (UK) Save for the game Kurylenko, it should be bed without supper for everyone involved here. Rated: 1/5 Dec 20, 2019 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …The Courier has the right cast and a reasonably novel idea, but the sheer number of clichés eventually undo it’s good intentions… Rated: 3/5 Sep 29, 2022 Full Review John Serba Decider It's mercilessly over-edited action unfolds with a tight-budget fury on two-and-a-half levels of a parking garage, and the result is dull, stupidly violent and dreadfully repetitive. Sep 9, 2020 Full Review Javier Perez Cine Premiere An almost inert action movie, with London shots that look like taken from archives. r96 s Olga Kurylenko almost makes it work. Almost. 'The Courier' makes for disappointing viewing, there isn't an element of it that I personally could file under 'good'. The aforementioned Kurylenko does try and her character is almost cool enough to make things watchable, but ultimately it's just all unconvincing. The, for the most part, one location is also an hindrance, for both Kurylenko's side of the story and for Gary Oldman's bit. Oldham's character is very lame, I at least had minimal interest in watching the lead but everything involving Mannings utterly bored me, to be honest. The iffy performances from Amit Shah and William Moseley don't help events either, while any Dermot Mulroney fans will be unhappy as that man gets a minuscule amount of screen time; I know it's none of my business, but I would be fascinated to see how much he got paid for this. The editing is also quite whiplash-y, particularly across the opening half of the movie. The music is OK, if only due to the opening and closing credits. Safe to see, this title got served far greater stuff from the 2020 namesake with Dominic Cooke and Benedict Cumberbatch! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/21/24 Full Review Hams P watched this in the background and still had to skip ahead Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/05/23 Full Review Raouf H This movie is so poorly executed, it's really pathetic. The main villain eye patch on on scene is covering the right eye, then the following sceen the eye patch is covering the left eye! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/10/23 Full Review Landon W This movie takes place in a boring and seemingly large but also small parking garage. #1 To start off I'm sure everything has been in a parking garage at some point I there life and as you would know you can here every little sound from every floor so when they are shooting and yelling it amazes me that they can't here those sounds. #2 No matter how many shots are fired by the group of men not a single one will hit the target. And if the men manage to hit the target they are usually 10 feet away and somehow only shot the target in the leg or arm. #3 They seem to always have a weapon near by. How is it possible that she is able to find a knife, a tank of gas, an axe, and smoke bombs whenever she needs them. # #4 Like every other movie the bad guy wants to kill the good guy on the spot but when the good guy is right in front of him and the bad guy had a gun to his face the bad guy always makes a long pointless speech that somehow leads to the good guy getting saved. #5 Just to put it out there, the drone is one of the worst CGI creations I have ever seen. I'm not lying when I tell you that I could make a better and more believable drone on photoshop. #6 I was really amazed by how bad the acting was and for a movie with very minimal words the main characters had some of the worst and most pointless lines I have ever heard. I would tell you a few but I don't want to have to watch the movie again, ever again. #7 In one of the last scenes the women used her bike to lift up the bad guy going maybe 20 mph and stop on her brakes only for the guy to fly about 30 feet in a straight line bashing in the back of his scull. I'm no physics major but I can guarantee you that that is not how physics works. #8 If they wanted to make the movie better but still keep it in a parking garage they could have spruced it up a little and maybe added some high-end cars or super cars the amount of vans and boring cars made this movie seems grey and dull. #9 The amount of gore in this movie was by all means way too much and very unnecessary. #10 Lastly the ending may have been one of the worst endings I have ever seen in a movie first of all bringing a gun into a hospital is a very poor decision. Along with this being a poor decision, how would they have acquired handguns in London being that they are illegal. And what are they going to do shoot the guy in the hospital and get away with it. This movie was complete and utter garbage and a waste of 1h 39m. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/27/23 Full Review Dan D Wow, what a shitshow. This movie is so bad. Gary Oldman must have needed a paycheck to make this dreck. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/07/23 Full Review Marc Z Seems this one is harshly judged. It is a very low budget action film starring Gary Oldman and Olga Kurylenko. With those two there is something to watch. Oldman is a mobster arrested and Kurylenko a trained agent that acts as a Courier in relation to a trial to convict Oldman of Organized Crime. The scrip is ok. The main acting is OK. The action is Ok. the supporting cast is very weak. The Editing is poor. The Direction is horrible. The movie has some real dragging points. It is boring in spots, with very overly long scenes of transitions etc. Amit Shah is not bad as the witness at the center of it all. I would love too see a real remake.
