Although this movie was clearly low budget, with its stock sound effects and (at times) slightly questionable acting... "The End?" manages to be a decently engaging and emotionally moving film. The film serves as a sort of penance for our main character as he evolves from a cheating arrogant business mogul to a man who has finally realized what he has been taking for granted. The entire movie takes place inside an elevator, as the protagonist is stuck there during a zombie infection. The film was able to keep me engaged the entire time, which is a good thing considering we spend an entire 1 hour and 40 minutes in one small enclosed location. I was brought to care about the characters in the film and I wanted to see them succeed, especially the police / swat character that is introduced about half way through the film who attempts to help free our protagonist from his hellish prison. There were a reasonable amount of twists and turns that caught me by surprise, and I was glad to see our hero eventually make it out alive. Which is a complete 180 from the beginning of the movie when I INSTANTLY grew to hate him from his piggish ways. This film was low budget, but it's got heart... and that's what counts. Recommended. (Just please for the love of god, if you're the filmmaker and you're reading this... NEVER use that ridiculous "boom" meme sound effect ever again I couldn't help but burst out laughing every time it played.)

By having the main character confined to one space while the Zombie apocalypse develops there's enough tension to keep you waiting for what's next to happen. Clever movie!
