Ted B 3.0 stars; First of all, I must confess that I am a Falcon Series fan. Yes, I know the films are corny, but corny was popular in the 1940s. As was swing music, which was typically featured in the films. I liked how Tom Conway brought the fictional Private Detective to life in his performances. He was debonair, sexy, and clever all at the same time. All the females swooned. All of those elements are present in this movie. Like all the films in the series.... When the Falcon is on the job, you can be assured the mystery/crime will be solved. If you are not expectng a classic mystery movie, you won't be disappointed. However, it is a fun movie that is somewhat light in plot. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/02/24 Full Review steve s You can't look at fun films like this with the jaundiced eye of 2023. You have to have an appreciation for the world in 1943. Those reviews that are written by someone who looks at "The Falcon & the Coeds" through today's contemporary eyes are tainted. They aren't just or fair. Audiences in 1943 loved the Falcon series - and others such as The Saint, Sherlock Holmes, Charlie Chan, et al because they fun, a tad corny, and economical (most of the films in these mystery series were 60-75 minutes long: They got in, got it done & got out). Take yourself back to 1943 - and have fun! If you do, you'll really enjoy the simple pleasures of these wonderful little movies. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Tom Conway is back as The Falcon and find himself trying to unravel a murder mystery at a girls school. It's a rather inconsequential mystery, but it's entertaining enough and I didn't notice when I was watching the film, but apparently Dorothy Malone (billed as Dorothy Maloney) has a bit part as a student. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member OK entry in this series Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Tom Conway is perfectly cast as the debonair detective known as The Falcon, in this film he investigates the murder of a college professor in a girls school. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the inferior investigations in the detective franchise series. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews
