What to Know

Critics Consensus

While it deserved stronger direction and a more fully realized script, Michael Shannon's riveting performance in the title role is more than enough to make The Iceman recommended viewing.

Jason A Fairly accurate, great actors, and any omissions are certainly per the director's discretion. I am not sure the average public is ready to see a man, dying from cyanide, being choked via garotte and hidden under a bed. Thus it is one of many events omitted by the movie, but as a writer and embalmer for 23 years, there are details the average viewer could not withstand. A++ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review Tyler G Michael Shannon acted his butt off in the entirety of this movie. Watching his expressionless demeanor as he does whatever it takes to support his family was cold and powerful. From the costume design to the killing scenes, this was a quality film. Ray Liota was great as well, despite playing a very stereotypical role. I would recommend this to anyone who's a fan of mob movies or ice cold killing rampages. This was a solid film that encourages you to challenge your own beliefs - what would you do in the same scenario? I am happy I watched this and I hope Michael Shannon gets more recognition for this film some day. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/05/24 Full Review Jason P Great story and good acting. Michael Shannon is perfect. I'm not going to nit-pick it apart. Was I entertained? Yes, very much so! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/31/24 Full Review Руслан Г Фільм сподобався. Гра акторів потужна. Сюжет захопливий- на реальній історії життя жорстокого злочинця Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Kirsten W I loved it. Would have liked to see another hour of it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review John H While it has a very good lead performance the tale is a bit slow and convoluted . Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/09/24 Full Review Read all reviews
