Based on a true story. Heavily impacted by his fellow veteran's suicides, George Eshleman (Angus Benfield), an Army veteran, decides to help raise awareness of military member suicides by hiking the full Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia while carrying 363 name tapes from the uniforms of military members who committed suicide. He is given the trail name "The Keeper" (of the names) by a special group of veterans he meets along the way, and finds support and comfort from fellow hikers, civilians, and other military veterans alike, in the "Hiker Universe." Despite their support, his depression threatens to overtake his judgment as the days pass. With his darkness only a few paces from his mind as he travels the trail, George struggles to prove his mettle, conquer his depression, and focus on the mission.

Cathy M EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS MOVIE... and continue to walk the trail with our military brothers and sisters so that they are never alone. The movie perfectly captured the pandemic of veteran suicide, the brotherhood of those in uniform, thru hiking on the Appalacian trail, and the one thing that is most important life... that makes life worth living... love. Thank you George, Todd... and all those that played a role in this story and its production. You are honoring so many. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/12/24 Full Review Matt O My wife and I enjoyed the movie knowing the storyline ahead of time. George carried my son’s tag on his journey and we are nothing but grateful for him getting this story out. God bless you and the director for this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Sera R This film was incredibly heartfelt, moving and authentic, whilst heartbreaking at the same time. Such an important story providing hope for veterans whilst not sugar coating or Hollywood-ising the content. The fact that the four main hikers are unknowns means nothing, these four will be breakout stars in no time, whilst veteran actor, Angus Benfield delivers a genuinely raw, and stunning, award worthy performance. This story will be one that builds and grows as more people find it. A truly beautiful piece of cinema. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/21/24 Full Review Rachel H Excellent and grounded. An important and moving story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Carmen R This movie should be in all theaters to spread awareness. Great job by the cast! Well done! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/24 Full Review Ann S It was a true depiction of the events. The movie captured the journey perfectly. If more watched they would experience how one step, one action, one prayer may not seem like doing anything but when add them together it truly can make a difference. And if keep going can move mountains. When you watch the movie you will feel the pain of so many. I am one of the spouses of one of the name tapes and George's love through whole trip brought such love and appreciation to us. He truly kept our hearts strong...so glad they were there for him as he was us. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
