Allen Almachar The MacGuffin The Lake on Clinton Road feels very much like a throw back ... because the final product so closely adheres to the outline step by step, there isn't much in terms of surprise. Rated: C Jul 14, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Worst move I'm ever seen! And I love terrible horror movies but this isn't make fun of it together bad it's cringe. Like the total perv director/writer who upskirt shorts for no reason. There is one character who says how he is fat in EVERY part he is in. He isn't even fat he's just not in shape like the two other ass hats that just talk about protein and football. I want them all to die soooo bad. The only real horror is having to sit through this shit show for it to happen.. I'm literally writing this review while I'm watching to... you know what fuck this, I'm done Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member The only thing worse than the off-the-scale douche level of the characters in this movie is the fact that they are written to be too dumb to possess even the most basic human reaction, or natural curiosity, to the strange events that surround them. The characters, who seemingly have devoted an entire weekend at a get-away cabin to simply drink and dance around the campfire and living room, make leaps of logic that are not natural or normal, but simply happen because the script needed them to. The movie meets practically all of the items on the horror trope check list. Scary girl with hair in her face? Check. Creepy little kid? Check. Said scary girl walking around in weird contorted pose? Check. Character having sudden mental flashes of scary imagery? Check. Creepy found footage video characters watch? Check. In the end, this movie is about as mentally challenging or engaging as watching a bunch of douchebags walking around holding their cellphones trying to get reception. Which, BTW, is also a scene in this movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
