a i Tubi Trash Reviews: This one is pretty good. Decent action. Some spacey sci-fi stuff like having to fix things and exploration. Not happy about the reliance on "Space Madness" to push the plot along. 99.99999% of the mission is over and people go crazy now? It had a beginning (even though it was an exposition dump delivered by a Morgan Freeman impersonator), a middle, and an end. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Good science fiction subject that could have been scripted in many ways. Acting fine. Waited till end to reach planet that had me wondering why focus on the space flight when potentially the plot had many alien planet interesting possibilities. Sad it was so wasted. Reasonable character development making audience emphasize with pleasant characters that director then used the person onboard, probably most like himself, to kill everyone else except the two kids as though only they deserved to live. Like dumb horror flicks where directors seem to revel in jerking juvenile audience emotions. The killer was a hateful angry terminally ill member that the director purposely chose to not provide a clear reason why he did so and instead just let the audience imagine reasons why he (like the director) was evil. Director also chose to wait till the last few minutes to expose the audience to who was doing the killing. In other words, the director was purposely interesting in making the audience feel bad in the worst way by waiting till the end when the audience had most hope of them reaching the new planet. Of course that seems to be a thing for numbers of incompetent low budget film directors that hate their situation in this world and seem to share that attitude with those that decide to fund and let them make such films. Good to see audience feedback is poorly rating this film that will send a message to producers. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member For those who love a great space battle a-la Star Wars, then you might be disappointed with The Last Scout, but for those who like a story put together with a very well made production for what I'm sure wasn't a massive budget, and a fun cast then you should check out The Last Scout. Whilst the plot might not be the most unique in the world and why on Earth (no pun intended) does every film have to have the most unique plot in film history It is a whole new film direction for the pairing of Paul Tanter and Simon Phillips, who both come from the roots of UK crime thrillers (Rise Of The White Collar Hooligan, He Who Dares) and now seem to have leapt into the atmosphere with this scifi fun ride. But the great news is that they know what they are doing and have done it well. Also great to see roles featuring Rebecca Ferdinando *Shank, White Collar Hooligan 1 & 2) , Petra Bryant ( Heretiks) in roles within this fun scifi tale. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member The acting and character development were good enough to keep the movie moving. The low budget was an issue but it was used effectively. Could have used a better explanation on why these people were selected to crew, when clearly some were neither fit or necessary. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member actualy a pretty good film for a small budget. visuals were well done. story was quite well written. worth a watch!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow! What can I say? Oh yea, BAD! I would normally rate an outer-space sci-fi 2.5-3 stars just for the effort (and lacking of movies in this genre). The story could have been a good one but I'm sure the bad acting was due mainly to the directing and script. The two cutie (grown) actresses were the only thing keeping me flaccidly interested and from slicing to pieces my 65" flat screen TV. (Though they weren't the reason I was flaccid ;) I hope the recordings of the Pegasus's captain's wife(?) wasn't part of the story line because I could barely comprehend a thing she said even after setting my sound to "clear voice" (which is excellent) especially in the scene where her back is turned. Oh, and be prepared to seesaw your volume up and down lest you desire to wake up hell and/or read lips. Especially when it jumps back and forth from interior voices to exterior ship engines. These people owe me a new sound system but it may cost them more than they spent on this movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
