A mostly dull, cheap looking experience about one person's quest to find his Uncle in a strange land, The Lost Viking plods from scene to scene, with our hero spending an inordinate amount of time passing out and doing very little. The movie, more specifically the battle scenes, look the ones which punctuate historical documentaries depicting bloody sword fights, with very few people on screen and amateur looking sword play. By the time our protagonist has been taken prisoner and made to do gladiatorial combat for the amusement of his malevolent captor, I'd almost completely lost interest, and things don't really pick up afterwards. It spends a lot of time wallowing in misery but gives little to care about or be interested in. To be fair it's an impressive effort for a movie that looked like it was made for the very tight budget of 'Whatever the cast and crew had in their back pockets when filming began.' But as a piece of entertainment, it falls right on its face.
